What ages do you teach?
I teach students as young as 5 or 6. I also work with teens, advanced students, and adult amateurs. It’s never too late to start or continue learning the flute!
I’m an adult and haven’t played in years. Can I still take lessons?
Absolutely! I work with adult amateurs at all levels, whether you are returning to the flute after a long time or starting fresh.
My child has never played an instrument. Can they still start flute lessons?
Yes, beginners are welcome. I introduce music in a fun, encouraging, and age appropriate way.
What levels do you teach?
I teach beginner through advanced students, including those preparing for school auditions, honor bands, competitions, or self-development.
What kind of music do students learn?
Students learn classical music, but we also explore popular tunes, movie themes, duets, improvisation, and traditional music depending on students’ level and interests.
Do you teach in Spanish?
Yes, I teach in English and Spanish, depending on the student’s needs.
Do I need to own a flute to start?
Yes, you need a flute to start taking flute lessons. If you don’t own a flute yet, I can help you find a quality student instrument.
What kind of flute is best for young children (age 5-6)?
Depending on their body and hand size, they can start on a Nuvo flute, designed to help with posture. I can also recommend reliable brands.
What else do I need for lessons?
-flute in good playing condition.
-metronome (there are many phone apps)
-method books (I will recommend specific ones for each level)

Do you offer performance opportunities?
Yes! I offer semester student recitals and encourage students to play in masterclasses, competitions, festivals, and school or community ensembles.
